Formal Proposal
Writing Task
Your company or school is looking to improve employee/student wellbeing. Write a formal proposal suggesting a new wellbeing programme. Include the current situation, your proposed solution with specific initiatives, the expected benefits, and a brief implementation plan. Use formal, persuasive language.
Target:300-350 words
Writing Tips
- •Use clear headings or structured paragraphs for each section
- •Begin with the purpose of the proposal and who it is addressed to
- •Be specific about what you are proposing — vague ideas are not persuasive
- •Include practical details: timeline, costs, resources needed
- •Use persuasive language: 'This initiative would...', 'Evidence suggests...'
- •End with a strong recommendation and call to action
- •Maintain a formal register throughout — avoid contractions and colloquial language
