You can’t learn to speak by staying silent

Apps and videos build knowledge. Speaking builds fluency. The Speaking Club exists for one thing: giving you real, structured speaking time with correction from a real teacher — at a price you can use every week.

Part 1

Warm-up (10 min)

Easy icebreaker questions so everyone speaks in the first ten minutes — no long teacher monologues.

Part 2

Useful phrases (10 min)

A short set of natural phrases for the day's topic: agreeing, disagreeing, giving opinions, telling stories.

Part 3

Guided conversation (45 min)

The heart of the session. Structured prompts, pair and group turns, and Masha guiding so nobody is left out.

Part 4

Feedback & correction (15 min)

Personal correction notes: pronunciation, grammar slips, and stronger ways to say what you said.

The club is for you if…

  • You understand English but freeze when it's time to speak
  • You want regular speaking practice between (or instead of) private lessons
  • You're preparing for IELTS or CELPIP speaking and need real practice time
  • You use English at work but want more fluency and confidence
  • You want a friendly group that meets at a regular time each week

Speaking Club FAQ

How is the Speaking Club different from group classes?

Group classes are teacher-led lessons covering grammar, vocabulary, and skills. The Speaking Club is 80 minutes of structured conversation practice — the goal is maximum speaking time for every participant, with correction and useful phrases along the way.

How much does it cost?

CA$15 or US$11 per 80-minute session. No subscription required — you pay per session you attend.

What level do I need?

Sessions are grouped by level so you practise with learners like you. Most groups run at A2–B1 and B2–C1. When you join the interest list, tell me your level and I'll place you in the right group.

How many people are in a session?

Small groups — enough people for real conversation, few enough that everyone gets substantial speaking time in 80 minutes.

When do sessions happen?

Each group opens as soon as about five learners at the same level and compatible time zones commit to a weekly time. Tell me your best days and times when you sign up, and I'll invite you the moment your group is ready. The first session for every new group is a founding session — you help set the weekly rhythm.

What do I need to join?

A stable internet connection, a microphone, and a quiet space. Sessions run on Zoom or Google Meet — you'll get the link before each session.

Reserve your spot

Each group starts when about five learners at the same level commit to a weekly time. Tell me your level and availability, and you’ll get an invitation the moment your group is ready to open.
