An opinion essay has four parts: introduction with a thesis, two body paragraphs with reasons, and a conclusion. Choose the best option for each question.

Exercise 2: Link the Model Paragraph

Exercise 3: Plan and Write Your Essay
Topic: "Children should learn a second language in primary school." Agree or disagree. Plan first, then write.
Plan: Write your thesis in one sentence, then two reasons with one example each, then one opposing point you will answer.
Write your full essay (180-250 words): introduction with thesis, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Use at least four linking words from Exercise 2.
Revise: Read your essay again and improve three sentences — make one more specific, one shorter, and one more formal. Write the before and after versions.
