Exercise 1: First Conditional
Complete the sentences: If + present simple, will + base verb. Use these for real future possibilities.
If it (rain) tomorrow, we will stay home.
If you study every day, you (pass) the citizenship test.

If we (not/leave) now, we will miss the appointment.

Exercise 2: Second Conditional
Complete the sentences: If + past simple, would + base verb. Use these for imaginary or unlikely situations.
If I (win) the lottery, I would buy my parents a house.
If she had more free time, she (learn) French.
If I (be) you, I would ask for a raise.
We (travel) more if flights were cheaper.
If he (live) closer, we would see him every week.
What you (do) if you didn't have to work tomorrow?

Decide if the situation is real (first conditional) or imaginary (second conditional), then choose the correct sentence.

Exercise 4: Fix the Conditional
Each sentence has one conditional mistake. Write the correct sentence.
If I will see him, I will tell him the news.
If she would have more time, she would volunteer.
If it snows tonight, the schools would close.
I would move to Vancouver if I will find a job there.
If I was you, I would take the earlier flight.
Unless you don't hurry, we will miss the train.
Exercise 5: Real Plans and Big Dreams
Write true sentences about your life. First conditional for real plans, second conditional for dreams.
Write three first conditional sentences about this month: your work, your studies, and your free time.
Write three second conditional sentences: What would you do if you won a million dollars, spoke perfect English, and had one extra day every week?
