Exercise 1: Regular Verbs

Complete each sentence with the past simple form of the verb in brackets. Regular verbs end in -ed.

Exercise 2: Irregular Verbs

Complete each sentence with the past simple form. These verbs are irregular — no -ed!

Exercise 3: Negatives and Questions

Use didn't + base verb for negatives and Did + subject + base verb for questions.

Select the correct past simple option.

Write about the past. Check every verb: is it regular (-ed) or irregular?

Write five sentences about last weekend. Use at least two irregular verbs.

Write three sentences about your first week in a new place (a new city, school, or job).
